Email scams are on the rise and are taking advantage of the COVID-19 pandemic. Please be very conscientious and cautious when accessing emails that have anything to do with the following measures:
Any Emails posed to be coming from the CDC or WHO that most likely contain attachments or links.
Any Emails that claim to contain health advice relating to the outbreak. Do not click on attachments or links.
Any Emails that pose as workplace policy. Be sure to verify the sender is legitimate and the message is applicable to our environment. Be wary of strange looking attachments or links.
Any Emails that request personal information
Any Emails that are marked “urgent” or “act now”. This is done purposely by scammers to try and get an instant reaction without fully reviewing the message. These will most likely contain links or attachments.
